About Me

I hold degrees in psychology (BA from Creighton University), occupational therapy (MS - Rush University), and higher educational administration, curriculum and instruction (PhD - University of Nebraska Lincoln).  During my 30+ years of experience in higher education, I have served in multiple leadership roles including Associate Dean for Assessment and Faculty Development, Special Assistant to the Provost, Chair and Vice Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy, and Program Director.  I am a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association, a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission and the American Council on Education.

I have helped create the first entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in the US.  I have experience in face-to-face, online, and hybrid programs.  The professions I have helped develop and consulted to include: Occupational therapy (Master's and Doctoral, Entry Level and Post Professional), Nursing (Doctor of Nursing Practice), Physical therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy, Entry Level and Transitional), Physician Assistant (Master's), Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Medical Service, and Doctorate in Education (EdD), Lifestyle Medicine (certificate, Bachelor's). I have provided consulting services to a variety of pubic and private institutions.

As a former Special Assistant to the Provost, I wrote University policies (e.g., Policy on Syllabi, Academic Program Review, Policy on Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes), lead the review of new academic program prospectus reviews, assisted in the administration of student and alumni surveys in conjunction with Gallup, designed an Academic Leaders Development Program, provided a Faculty Promotion and Tenure Circle to increase scholarship productivity, and other such University and School-wide initiatives.
